War in Ethiopia
Lalibela has been occupied since August 5th, thousands have fled and those who stayed are starving.
But people are not only suffering in Lalibela. During ther conflict in Ethiopia, thousands were killed, millions were displaced and more than 5 million people are in urgent need of humanitarian aid.
We pray for peace in Ethiopia, peace for all people and peace for the whole world.
The war and the suffering of innocent people in Ethiopia must come to an end!
Lalibela has been cut off from the outside world for more than two months. Roads are cclosed, electricity and telecommunications are switched off and there is a lack of food, drinking water and medicine.
We are happy that our members and some friends were able to flee to Bahir Dar and are safe there, but the people who remain in Lalibela are starving and suffering every day from the war and the difficult conditions.
As soon as the Holy City of Lalibela is free again and the roads are no longer blocked, we will immediately provide Humanitarian Aid and help the people with food, shelter, medical care and hygiene items.
To help the people in Lalibela, we have already collected 3000 Euros and we please you support our fundraiser on Betterplace.org.
